About Us

SIDS Adventure Treks has been successfully running 2WD, 4WD and motorcycle treks for the last 10 years. We are committed to and will continue to deliver exciting, diverse and unique events, both outback and local.

SIDS Adventure Treks is well respected in the market place whilst raising much needed funds for SIDS and Kids Queensland.

SIDS and Kids Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation that provides free-of-charge professional bereavement support and counseling to families that have been affected by SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), stillbirth or the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child, regardless of cause, from 20 weeks gestation to 6 years of age.  For more information visit www.sidsandkids.org/qld

Ken Godfrey – Event Director

Ken has an extensive background in entertainment management and event co-ordination both locally and internationally. He has been the director of Active Entertainment Management for over 40 years. Ken has always had a passion for charities and has therefore dedicated 20 years to assist in raising much needed funds for worthwhile causes. For the past 10 years, Ken has been the Event Director at SIDS and Kids Queensland and throughout this time he has successfully established, coordinated and directed 2WD, 4WD and motorcycle events throughout Australia.

Lena Birtles - Trek Co-ordinator

Lena has been with SIDS and Kids Queensland for 8 years, and for the past 3 years assisting Ken & trekkers with all aspects of the events including fundraising support, newsletters and participating in the 2WD and 4WD events - so please make contact with Lena if you have any queries or require support or further information.
